It’s no secret that consumables of any type will become part of a landfill one day, at The Raven and The Writing Desk our hope is to at least provide quality paper and tools with as little impact on our environment as possible. You’ll find that many of our products are made with recycled materials or can biodegrade with little to no environmental impact.

To meet our goals in sustainability we lean on timeless designs. If it’s timeless, it’s less likely to be tossed. Instead, they can be kept for a lifetime or handed down from one generation to the next.

Upcycling isn’t just a trend, it’s a lifestyle— that we can support! Many of our vendors are scoped out for their ability to take old items and make them into new products that we can share with you.

Taylor has always seen the world in a whimsical way, starting with the first time she went down that rabbit hole with her friend, Alice. As she grew into adulthood, her interests became more about creating her dreams and less about dreams alone. In recent years, her obsession with the tea parties and crazy cats grew into a fascination of writing and journaling, however it was impossible to find the quality, sustainable paper products and comfortable writing apparatuses she longed for. When she did, she couldn’t stop herself from bringing them home to swoon over, even if she already had enough for a lifetime. Eventually, she decided to stop collecting her findings and instead share them with her community and potentially the world.
